Kentucky Tourism Kicks Off “Only One” Campaign

Kentuckians can now find a renewed pride in their beloved Bluegrass State. The
Kentucky Department of Tourism kicked off its newest marketing campaign with the theme “Kentucky: There’s Only One” on October 19 with its #OnlyOneKentucky Twitter Contest.

The contest, which runs until November 23, asks Kentucky Tourism’s Twitter followers to tweet daily about one of 26 selected “only in Kentucky” attractions, ranging from Red River Gorge to the National Corvette Museum. Prizes, including an iPod Nano, a Sony PSP Core Pack System, a FUJIFILM digital
camera and a Nook Color, will be given out to five randomly-selected followers who tweeted about each
day’s attraction.

This contest is part of Kentucky Tourism’s larger “Kentucky: There’s Only One” campaign that will run
through 2012. The campaign seeks to encourage travel to and within the state of Kentucky by engaging
prospective travelers to explore all Kentucky has to offer. The focus of the campaign lies in the iconic
attractions and hidden gems that make Kentucky a unique travel destination from the Bourbon Trail to
the Red River Gorge.
