Hal Mumme – former UK Football Coach
“Thank you so very much for your great dinner last night. I can’t ever remember seeing our players eat so much, but know why, because everything was just super!”
Joe B Hall – UK Coach
Two western Kentucky boys, Billy Parham and Bob Stubblefield, decided in 1978 that Lexington needed a good Q joint. So they picked the brains of the best BBQers they could find and set out to prove they could do it right.
They had some friends in Murray, Mayfield, Paducah, and Owensboro who volunteered to help them learn how to barbecue, but it took many months of testing and tasting before Bob and Billy were ready for action. The pair opened Billy’s BAR-B-Q in August of 1978.
It’s worth the trip.
